Don't think this is quite the right calculation, as the equity value of $20,000
is also a lot more for them than for poorer players. What is important is
the relative value to them of $10,000 vs $20,000. If they have an 80%
chance of winning the hand by calling, then folding is +EV if $20,000 is
worth less to them than 1.25 times as much as $10,000, and -EV if it's
worth more than that. I actually think that for a top pro, $20,000 might be
worth less at the beginning of a deepstacked tournament than 1.25 times
as much as $10,000, but I really don't know.
