| Re: NHL Thu 11/1 After a semi deep lookup, have some early leans for tonights games (4 still missing and will be posted later) Florida Panthers @ Carolina Hurricanes (00:05 GMT) Looks like a clear HW for me, might even try the handicap in this one, as the odds are low. Florida played last night and beat Pens comforatbly 5-2, but ternds show they are just 1-7 playing b2b games with no rest and 0-4 when winning the previous night. Carolina won last time out 4-2 and leads the 06/07 series 2-1, with 2 in a row. Edge for Carolina could be low numnber of PP Florida is playing in recent times, Hurricanes averages 4 mins of PP per game more, but are without some inportant defenders and that should show sooner or later…On the other hand, oldie Belfour isnt having the best times lately and good form of Ward could be the big edge for Carolina. Lean to Carolina Washington Capitals @ Tampa Bay Lightning (00:35 GMT) Tight one so im skipping it, but the following read might be helpful… If the Tampa Bay Lightning doesn't start winning soon, the team will likely begin dumping salary, reports the Ottawa Sun. The Bolts have been shopping the likes of forward Vaclav Prospal for most of the season but the paper claims the interest level in him isn't high. According to the Sun, the Lightning would like to upgrade their goaltending and the San Jose Sharks are getting ready to move Vesa Toskala. Citing sources, the Sun claims San Jose GM Doug Wilson wants an offensive blueliner, and if the Bolts want Toskala, they'd have to toss Dan Boyle in a deal. Anaheim Mighty Ducks @ Dallas Stars (01:35 GMT) Passing this game - found no edge...anyway to tight to play on todays big card. Calgary Flames @ Colorado Avalanche (02:05 GMT) Hard match to call IMO. Have a lean on home team, as the Flames could be missing some important fire power upfront..other reason is that they..well pretty much suck when playing away from home, with only 5 wins from 19 matches…Wont be doing intensive looks ups in this one…have a lean on home team but there a far better matches on card today..so im skipping this one Detroit Red Wings @ Phoenix Coyotes (02:05 GMT) The only question mark is..can they contiunue the streak…Wings are in town and they won last match 9-2, last win for Coyotes at home vs. Detroit way back in 2004. IMO this game shouldnt be looked upon from trends point of view…its simply the question of motivation…are they still so motivated to win it again, crowd will surely be crazy tonight…we can not question the motivation of Wings players, they sure want to beat the hottest team in NHL. Dont know anything about this one, on paper Wings are clear favs..but anything could happen tonight in Phoenix. No leans for now Minnesota Wild @ Vancouver Canucks (03:05 GMT) This one really looks like a two bet game. Some of the strongest trends between those two i have ever seen in the NHL. Under is 7-0 in the last 7 meetings in Vancouver. Under is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings. Wild are 1-5-2 in the last 8 meetings in Vancouver. Home team is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings. Favorite is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings. Wild are 4-1 in the last 5 meetings. Parish and Nummelin stil a question mark for the Wild, Cans in almost full strenght. Also Cans with a 3 days rest compared to Wild one day + traveling. Minny are 3-6-0-1 after 1 day rest when loosing last game, Cans 0-1 after W with three day rest. Heavy leans to Cans ML win and under 5. Also Minny really strugling as of late and Cans great with 7 in a row. San Jose Sharks @ Los Angeles Kings (03:35 GMT) Looks like a trick match, but after looking the stats, Sharks are strong favs for this one. Great trend for them when playing with no rest (11-1 in last 12), and have a good trend going on in h2h against the Kings. I especially think they will be fired up for scoring after yesterdays unbelievable bad luck against the Oilers, so counting for a BIG bounce back, might even consider backing them on -1.5…but LA looks really good when playing teams who sit at the top of the table..and they won their last h2h in San Jose…Sharks leading this years series 3-2 and are also 2-1 in LA. Lean to Sharks…as cant see Kings winning two in a row against them…but Garon is on fire lately and has three games in a row with SP over .930 |
