Ann Duffield's colt had every chance before fading two furlongs out that day, but hadn't been seen since November so it was understandable. Only 3 lbs higher than when successful at Southwell in October he is evidently handicapped to go close, and he will relish these soft conditions having won on similar previously. The fourth of that Ripon race has come out and won since, hopefully this one can follow suit. 7/1 Bet
