Hayley Turner riding 100 winners in a year surely the defining moment. And look at the others out there including Kirsty Milczarek, Amy Ryan, Catherine Gannon, Amy Baker and Kelly Harrison.
Some of these are more than a match for the lads, and it wouldn't surprise me one iota if Amy Ryan took the big prize up at Newcastle tonight on Green Manalishi. I really think it will go close and one of the things that attracted me to its chances was the jockey booking.....I would have said exactly the opposite a couple of years ago.

i have been looking at Green M tonight Russ, but the thought of Amy riding the horse has put me off slightly as this needs every inch of balance to win over 5f here in a field thats bound to bunch up. She was 6th in the Wokingham however the runners get plenty of room at Ascot. not sure the track will suit the horse though. Will be intersting to watch how she does, i rarely back lady jockeys.
