Default Re: Gingers (Flat) Winners 08

Was mightily impressed by Orizaba's debut win but was disappointing at Royal Ascot after a slow start. Should get the trip but not certain. Stable in and out of form. Saved on it.
Sayif impressed at Newmarket, possibly still green when second to Classic Blade. Trouble is he's not sure to get the extra furlong, related to a Cornwallis (5f) winner and Chapple-Hym could be in better form.
Westphalia is another one of Coolmoore's which is far too short a price judged on it's form.
Will be interesting to see what they do with Lord Shanakil, drawn on the rail. Usually races prominently at shorter. Bred to get the trip, will they attempt to take on Firth Of Fifth? Argueably has the best form, placed in the Coventry.
Have already said about Shaweel and Firth Of Fifth.

Victoria Sponge ran well on debut to suggest she's up to winning this. Though I would prefer another furlong, bred to get quite a bit further. Travelled well enough at Windsor at 6f. Trainer is in good form and usually improves them second time up.
Tiger Eye is a big danger judging by reputation and breeding. Stable does well first time out too.
Marcus Treggoning seems to be getting a few winners lately and Sterling Sound could improve because of it, worth a saver.
Mark Johnston and Paul Cole's representitives are worth keeping an eye on in the market.

Not the best race in the Goodwood Festival but Firestreak is probably the only one capable of improvement so is worth a bet. Much improved since the Queen had him gelded.
Two of his main rivals, We'll Come seems to need everything to go right for him and Flawed Genius may want further nowadays.
Monkey Glas is interesting as he is the likely front runner, sometimes an advantage over Goodwood's seven furlongs.
