Default Re: Contribution based jobseeker's allowance - Do I pay for dental treatment

If nothing has changed since since the last time I was unemployed (1992) you don't pay for dental treatemnt on JSA. However, if you have the 'knockout needle' at a dental clinic, instead of jabs in the gums, you have to pay for the anaeshetist.

You also get free eye tests, so whether you wear glasses or not, you may as well have them done.

I don't know if this applies if you're only out of work for 5 weeks though, as they have loads of stupid rules.
