That proves it can be done IF the authorities are prepared for it and if nothing else comes out of this episode it's that Manchester City Council + Police seriously got things wrong .
I'm not calling for a total ban everywhere but if there's an area set aside for a big screen then that should be alcohol free .
Listened to Real radio phone-in and it seems most if not all pubs in the vacinity of the ground and big-screen zones were ordered to shut at 14:00
With hindsight the main problem, imo, was that Manchester was TOO close for the neds and arseholes to get to .
If it was held abroad then i think you'd find the majority of that element would not be there .
I may be contradicted but up to the final RANGERS away support had a relatively good record this season ? and i think you'd find they were regular supporters not the hangers-on .
