Default Norway, Tippeligaen 16-19. may

16. mai 2008
18:00 Bodø/Glimt 2.55 X 3.35 Tromsø 2.55

Bodø/Glimt is unbeaten on their 3 home games and has 2-1-0 so far at Aspmyra. Ham Kam and Aalesund are beaten, while Stabæk managed to get a point. They have won the last two games and took a strong win in an even game against Strømsgodset in last league game. Bodø didn’t play to well in last home game and only in second half they showed some good football. This will be another game between two teams that is used to play on artificial grass, as the game between Bodø and Aalesund was.
S.Theting(D 3games) J.Lædre Bjørndal(D), D.Blomgren(D) and E.Iversen(D) is out with injury.

Tromsø has done well so far, and has only lost one time after 6 games. On their travels they have 1-2-0, and only conceded 1 goal against Lillestrøm. They took a strong win in last away game against Rosenborg, where they played very well. In last league game, against Brann, they were unlucky not to win, as they created many chances and were clearly the best team there.
Tromsø will miss Knut Borch (GK) amd K.Huusko(A 3games) with injury. S.Ramovic(GK 6games) and A.Munoz(A 5games) are doubtful.

This is a derby game from north Norway, and a very open one. Under is the closes that I get a bet, but a very unsure one.

18:00 Fredrikstad FK 1.70 X 3.50 Aalesund 4.75
Fredrikstad has done very well so far, and is unbeaten on the last 5 games. They have won all 3 home games, but haven’t showed to good football in all those games. Against Molde they were lucky to win and only a mistake by the Moldes goalkeeper gave them all points. Against Bodø they needed almost 40 minutes before they got their first chance. They showed some good football against Ham Kam and managed to turn the game around after being down 0-1.
J.T.Ophaug (D 6games), E.Bråthen(GK) and I.Fofana(A) are injury.

Aalesund has lost all 3 away games this season and all games are lost by one goal. They haven’t played bad away, but have been a little unlucky and been close to take points in all games. They lost big to Lyn in last league game and got a red card and a penalty against just before half time. They were already down 0-1 when they got the red card.
B.Kibebe (D games) is suspended. G.Bahoken(M) and A.Brown(GK 6games) is injuryed.

Fredrikstad are favourites, but AaFK hasn’t played bad away. I will go for over in this game.

18:00 Lyn Oslo 2.80 X 3.45 Stabaek IF 2.30
Lyn has started this season well and took an impressive 4-0 win against Aalesund away in last league game. Especially E.Hoff was very good there and scored 3 goals and had 1 assist. At home Lyn is so far unbeaten and has 2-1-0 on those games. They haven’t played played well in the last two home games and were lucky to beat Ham Kam and get a point against Fredrikstad. This will be the hardest home game so far this season.
Lyn will miss Jimmy Tamand (D) with injury. D.Gustavino(M 3games) is doubtful.

Stabæk is the only team in Tippeligaen that hasn’t lost yet. They have on their travels 1-2-0 so far and have only conceded 1 goal on those games, against Bodø/Glimt. D.Nannskog has started to score goals and has started to show the form from last season. Also new comer J.Andersson has started very well this season and has showed some good football on the already strong Stabæk midfield.
H.Hauger(M) is injured.

Lyn hasn’t played to well on home lately and will get a hard game here. Stabæk are small favourites here but over looks good.

18:00 Molde FK 2.55 X 3.30 Viking 2.60
Molde took a strong win against Vålerenga away last round. Played very well there, but were close to loose some points in the end. Molde has only lost one game so far, but 4 draws don’t give many points. At home field Molde has 3 straight draws, all has ended 0-0. They have been the best team in all those home games, but haven’t managed to score any goals, and scoring goals has been Moldes biggest problem so far. But the win against Vålerenga should have given them some extra confident.
Molde will miss Valter Tomaz jr (D) with injury. M.Andreasson (D 1game) might miss this game. V.Forrem(D 6games) is doubtful.

Viking has lost the last two games and has disappointed a little so far. In the last two games they have conceded 5 early goals. Against Vålerenga they were down 0-3 before they had played 20 minutes, while against Lillestrøm they were down 0-2 after just 13 minutes. So they need to do something to avoid that. Viking has 1-0-2 on their travels, the win came against Tromsø. Against Tromsø they played very well and didn’t let Tromsø come to many chances.
Viking will miss P.Ijeh (A 6games), P.Abelsson(D) and T.Myhre(GK) with injury. A.Velicka (A 5games 2goals) is doubtful.

Viking has the best team, but hasn’t done to well so far. Under might be the best bet here.

18:00 Rosenborg 1.85 X 3.50 Lillestrøm 3.90
Rosenborg has disappointed so far. They have lost 4 of 6 games and have only 1-0-2 at home. The win came against Lyn in an even game, while Fredrikstad and Tromsø both could go home with 3 points. Rosenborg hasn’t played to bad and has created some good chances in all games, but mistakes in defence and a lot of missing on their own chances don’t give you many points. Important S.Iversen (A games goals) and M.Sappara (M games) have showed better form lately and will give Rosenborg some extra confident.
Y.Kone (A 4games 2goals) is back from suspension. M.Jamtfall(A) and K.Stadsgaard(D 5games) is injured.

Lillestrøm needed 6 games before they got their first win. The win came against Viking, were two early goals was enough. Showed some signs on better football there and they should take more points in the future. They have only played two away games so far, and both are lost against Stabæk and Brann. This will be another hard away game for Lillestrøm.
Lillestrøm will miss Marius Johnsen(D) and Markus Kiesenebner(M) for a long time with injury. Bjørn Helge Riise (M) is also out a few more weeks. F.Kippe(D 5games) is suspended.

Two teams that has disappointed so far, but Rosenborg has been best. I keep Rosenborg as favourites and will bet on them.

20:00 Brann 2.00 X 3.45 Vålerenga 3.45
Brann hasn’t played to well this season and have still some work to do before they are back on the level from last season. They managed to get their first away point against Tromsø last round and also to keep a clean goal sheet, which is the first time since the home game against Odd in September last year. Brann has continued their good home form from last season and has 2-1-0 so far. Even do the played hasn’t been great they have managed to avoid defeats.
Brann will miss J.G.Solli (M 5games), A.Björnsson(A) and T.F.Ludvigsen(M) with injury. E.Huseklepp(M) is back from injury and might get some minutes in this game. H.Opdahl(GK 5games) is doubtful.

Vålerenga didn’t play a very good game in last round and lost to Molde. Vålerenga has done well on their travels and has 2-0-1 so far. They got a good start against Viking and were early up 3-0, but were close to loose some points in the end. They took also an impressive win against Lillestrøm away. So as expected they will be vary unstable in the begging, since not all new players has found their right place yet.
Captain and manager M.Andresen(M games) is back in the city, were he helped Brann to win the league gold last season.
Vålerenga will miss R.Lange (A), J.Jalland (M), and M.Fellah (A) with injury. M.Andresen(M 6games 1goal) is doubtful.

This is a big game between west and east in Norway. My heart says Brann, but my brain screams over, so my brain wins this time.

19. mai 2008
19:00 HamKam 2.25 X 3.35 Strømsgodset 2.95

Ham Kam is last after 6 games and they have lost 5 of those games. They have only played two home games and managed to beat Viking and loose to Stabæk, so this will be the easiest home game so far. They are normally strong at home, were they fights really hard for the points. They have been close to take points in some games and haven’t been that weak.
J.Michalsen(M 4games) is back from suspension. HamKam will miss K.H.Haraldsen(D 2games), Tom Kristoffersen(D), Steve Cooreman(D) and Pål Strand(M) with injury.

Strømsgodset has done well so far, and has 2-2-2 as a total. They have 0-2-1 on their travels and have only scored one goal in those games. Haven’t played bad and have been close to grab more points. Normally not very strong away and this will be their first game away were they don’t meet a playing team. Strømsgodset didn’t impress in the cup and only an equalizer after 94 minutes saved extra time against 3.division team Øvrevoll. Strømsgodset won in the end 7-2.
J.Riddez(D 5games) is suspended.

I think Ham Kam should win this game and will try some on them
