Just found out about that the now, thanks for the heads up alex.

Thats devastating news, the guy was a fantastic servant, not just for Celtic but for the whole of Scotland.
To die so young as well, at only 51. After battling bravely against cancer since 2006. It was terrible news of the cancer returning this year.

He was a gifted and much loved player for Celtic, 15 years at the club.
And in '94 took over the club as manager, and finally ended Ranger's domination of the Scottish game, when he lifted the league, in his final season as manager in 1997, stopping Ranger's from making it a record 10 in-a-row.
He was still a fan favourite then, and beside Martin O'Neill was probably more loved than any other Celtic manager I can think of since Jock Stein.
Only leaving the club that year because of the tyrant Fergus McCann and his money men driving him out.

With Burnsey left mosta the Celtic players that year, probably Celtics best side in many, many years. Pierre van Hooijdonk, Jorge Cadet, and who can forget Paulo Di Canio.

I'm gonna leave you with 1 of the quotes I will always remember as a boy, when an interviewer asked Paulo di Canio at the end of the season, once they had lifted the trophy, why he was leaving Celtic, he simply said: "I missa the gaffer"

RIP Tommy, you will always be remembered.
