Perhaps I'm wrong but the standard of women's football is embarrassing.
There needs to be a fundamental overhaul until it becomes a spectacle that is actually entertaining to watch. Not going on yesterday, but in general, the goalkeeping is cringeworthy, not least because the relative size of goalie to the goal is much bigger than the mens, but also when a goalie can't clear the halfway line with a goal kick.
Smaller pitches, lighter balls, smaller goals and shorter games would all benefit the women's game. Oh yeah, and tighter shorts. |
