Going with the away side tomorrow.
10pts Deccan Chargers to beat Chennai 5/6 Stan James
Chennai led the competition two games ago but since then the slide has begun with the loss of the departed Hayden, Hussey and Oram. Deccan are propping the table up but they have a side which should be doing so much better even without Andrew Symonds. Both sides lost their last game so will want to get back on track here.
Chennai only have 4 international players so the make up of their side is going to be pretty much as it was against Rajasthan. Stephen Fleming will open the innings but the only other international batsman is Albie Morkel. That means a lot rests on the shoulders on captain Dhoni. Murali is always a threat with the ball and Manpreet Gony has been economical but Ntini can go round the park.
Deccan Chargers have an explosive batting lineup which I just have a feeling is going to really kick off in the not too distant future. VVS Laxman has hinted they could send Shahid Afridi up to open alongside Gilchrist in a partnership which will make bowlers tremble. Scott Styris looks set to play again too just for his all round skills so the last international spot will be between Gibbs and Chamara Silva unless Vaas is given a game. Laxman and Sharma offer the Indian section to the batting and Sharma will look to get the orange cap back here.
Deccan were a bit unfortunate in their last match in that they came up against a good bowling attack having restricted Bangalore to a competitive score. Even though Chennai have Murali, their attack isn't as good as Bangalore's. Chennai's batting have fallen apart suddenly and that gives the edge to the visitors. I'll go with Deccan here.
