Default Re: Sweden, Allsvenskan 3-5 May

Sundsvall – Djurgården
Djurgården to win, 2.32 @ Pinnacle

Djurgården is the only undefeated team in Allsvenskan and should remain so after today’s game. Bad blow for Sundsvall last week as they lost the big Icelandic forward Sigurdsson, who has scored four of the teams six goals, to injury. He’ll probably miss the next game as well. Djurgården have quite a few players missing too, most notably Mattias Jonsson (again), but unlike Sundsvall they have quality replacements. Sundsvall need to go for the home win here, which suits Djurgården fine.

Hammarby – Göteborg
Hammarby to win, 2.82 @ Pinnacle

Hammarby haven’t played well at all lately but you still have to fancy them @ home @ 2.82. Hammarbys’ old, run down home ground is a nightmare for opposing teams. Several injured players seem ready to return to action for the home team, among them important midfielder Louay Chanko. Göteborg have yet to win an away game and haven’t been too impressive themselves.

Örebro – Malmö
No bet

Prior to their defeat in the local derby against Helsingborg, Malmö had won three straight. Most people probably expect them to bounce right back but Örebro away is never easy. Should be a tight, low scoring game. Harbuzi is out in Malmö, which means less creativity up front.

Kalmar – Trelleborg
Kalmar – 1, 1.71 @ 10bet

Leaders Kalmar were unlucky not to get a point from their away game to Elfsborg and will no doubt look to get their campaign back on track. In the past Kalmar have been known to inexplicably lose points to bottom dwelling teams but this year they seem more determined to be a top contender and have in fact excelled against weaker squads. Trelleborg have been pretty good at keeping their away games tight this year, but this kind of opposition should simply be too much for them (although they did strangely enough win last year). They may also miss their best defender – game time decision apparently. Still, if Boris Johnson can become mayor of London I suppose anything’s possible…
