Default Re: Best comebacks...

Only if you moved from Cornwall to York in the meantime.

I have 2.

One in a PL game where I was down to about half a BB with less than 20 left I got lucky a couple of times after then ran hot with the cards. I think I ended up finishing 2nd or 3rd instead of 13th or so.

One was in Blackpool last year at the AWOP team event. I got my chips in against a couple of muppets who turned over something like J8 and 67 against my AQ (pre flop) - I'd seen the acrds they were playing and expected that.

Flop helped them and not me and I had a 100 chip with the blinds 200/400. I seem to remember being out, then realising I had split the pot when I was all in on my BB so I doubed or trebled up. Then I hit a straight to quadruple up, then I just kept going.

It was a headhunter event and you got points for your team depending on how many you knocked out, and at one point later one I had pocket 8's and was deliberating a call of 2 all ins. If I won I'd have points for my team, but if I lost I'd have lost my chance of a virgin festival seat. before I made my call I checked what effect my calling would have on the teams chances and when I was told not much I folded and played for myself. I think I'd have hit trip 8's and lost to trip K's. Anyway I ended up winning a seat by coming in the last 5.
