Federer vs Nadal Betting: Roger Federer can prevail in the clash of two titans
Today's evening session will see a clash of two legends and we are definitely in for a very exciting night. Both guys had some problems on Sunday, so it will be interesting to see whether they will be able to deal with that or not. Nevertheless, I still believe that there is an obvious favourite in this match and I am going to back him tonight.
Roger Federer started well against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, but he lost the second set after some poor mistakes. However, he managed to recover from that and won the decider rather comfortably. He knows that he will need to raise his game today and I am sure that he is going to do just that. A victory against his greatest rival would boost his confidence and that is exactly what he needs right now. This is his tournament and I believe that he is going to prove that with a straightfoward victory today.
The Spaniard was cruising against Mardy Fish, but the American produced a stunning comeback and almost defeated the world's number two. Apparently, Nadal has some minor stomach problems - but can we automatically assume that everything is going to be alright today? He will need to be on the top of his game, as Federer is the in-form player right now and I just cannot see him doing that.
I believe that the value lies with Federer, but it is hard to choose the right bet. The handicap looks nice, but the 2-0 scoreline offers much better odds and it will be hard to cover the handicap in three sets, so I am going to back that selection. Lower stakes, but the odds are just too good and Nadal isn't playing well at the moment.
