English Premier League Betting

The Premier League is now 20 years old and is the most lucrative league in world football with teams collectively pocketing in excess of £2 billion a season. Since the league was restructured in 1992, Man United have dominated the competition, winning 12 titles.

The Likely Contenders

There was a time when quite a few teams could challenge for the title and the top 4 spots, going back as far as Blackburn, Newcastle, Leeds as well as others. These days it's all about money, and if you have it you can challenge, but if you don't it's an uphill battle for sure.

Man Utd usually head the betting with Chelsea not far behind them. Arsenal always seem to be one level below and nearly always 3rd favourites in the betting for the English Premier League. There has been a change of the guard in the last few years though with regards to the other challengers. Liverpool are pretty much also rans, but Man City with their trillions and zillions are of course right up there in the betting now too.

Last but not least Tottenham are an improving team, and have moved up considerably in the bookmakers estimation. A little bit more steel to this talented Tottenham side could see them challenge for real.
