England vs West Indies T20 Betting: England can ensure the West Indies go home winless by winning the T20 match
The West Indies play their final game of their tour of England on Sunday when they take on the world T20 champions in the T20 format. Despite England being the current holders of the world T20 and the current number one side in the world in this format it is the West Indies who are the favourites for this match on the best prices. They are 10/11 with Bet365 to win this match.
England come into the match having won every completed match they have played against the West Indies this summer. Unlike in the World T20 when they were captained by Paul Collingwood, Stuart Broad now has the reins for the hosts. T20 specialists Alex Hales, Jos Buttler and Jade Dernbach are expected to be brought into the side while the form horses from the ODI series, Bell, Cook and Trott will all make way for bigger and more powerful batsmen.
West Indies probably won’t change too much from the side which played the second ODI at The Oval last week. Chris Gayle can kill anyone in this format of the game while the likes of Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo and Dwayne Smith can all belt a long cricket ball. With the ball this is the format of the game which Sunil Narine has made a name for himself in and he’ll need to go well because the seam department on this tour has had a cannon fodder look to it.
This probably is the West Indies’ best chance of winning a match on this tour and Kevin Pietersen being out of the England side now is a huge loss to the hosts but I still think they have enough in their side to get the job done in this match. I like the look of Hales at the top of the order and if used right there isn’t a better finisher in the country than Jos Buttler. The Windies will be a shot a ball with the bat but they will go round the park too so it is England for me at even money.
