England vs Australia 4th ODI Betting: England can secure the series with another solid all round performance

England missed out on the opportunity to go to number one in the ODI rankings at the end of their series against Australia when the third ODI was washed out at Edgbaston on Wednesday but with them leading 2-0 with two matches to play they know they can seal a seventh successive series win should they prevail in the fourth ODI in Durham on Saturday. Australia have to win the match to keep the series alive. Australia are the favourites in most places but still 20/21 with Stan James.

The Riverside ground at Chester-le-Street will play host to this fourth match of the series. This will be the 13th time international cricket has been played on this ground in the 50 over format. Of the past 12 matches England have played in nine winning 4 and losing 3 with two no results while Australia have played here three times, winning twice and losing the other.

England will definitely make one change to their side going into this match. With the number one spot no longer a possibility in this series they have decided to rest Graeme Swann who has a potential elbow niggle. James Tredwell comes in for him. James Anderson missed the second ODI with a strain but he could return here. If he’s still not fit Chris Woakes is likely to play.

Australia will also probably make changes to their side as they have been outplayed so far in the series. Mitchell Johnson offered very little in the last match so the time may well have arrived to unleash James Pattinson on the English batsmen. If he isn’t picked the metronomic Ben Hilfenhaus could be recalled to the side.

England go into this match with everything in their favour. All the talk was of this wonderful bowling attack Australia have developed but it has looked mundane and easy to score off so far unlike England who are bowling brilliantly as a unit. As a batting line up Australia’s looks weak and rusty whereas all of England’s batsmen are in excellent form. England look the better side in all three formats of the game and I see no reason that won’t continue in this fourth ODI.
