Djokovic vs Murray Betting: Novak Djokovic to cover the handicap line against Murray
The encounter between Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray should bring plenty of excitement, as we all know how much do the Olympic Games mean for the British and this is indeed an excellent chance for them to add yet another medal to their collection. Of course, the loser of this match will also get to play for a medal, but it would not be the same really. However, the local hero comes into the match as a 2.85 underdog with Pinnacle and I would say that this reflects his chances rather accurately.
Look, I know that Andy Murray is going to do everything in order to win here. However, Novak Djokovic is going to do the same and I think that he has more in the tank right now. In recent times, the Serb has managed to beat Murry in most encounters and I would say that he has finally found the perfect rhythm on grass in his match against Tsonga. And let's be quite honest here - Novak Djokovic is still better than Andy Murray in many respects. Most importantly, he is almost unbeatable when everything clicks in, when he finds himself "in the zone". Andy Murray can be a bit more consistent than the Serb, but he does not have that sort of perfection in his game just yet.
Originally, I wanted to back the overs here, but the line is simply ridiculous at 24.5 games, especially since both guys are strong on return and it is probably never going to be covered in tight two sets in such a match-up. For that reason, I am going to side with my second option and I will back Djokovic with the handicap line.
Back Novak Djokovic (-2.5) to beat Andy Murray for a 3/10 stake at 1.93 with Pinnacle
