Denver @ New England Betting: Broncos can remain within large handicap in Foxboro
The late game in the NFL playoffs on Saturday night comes from the Gillette Stadium in Foxboro as the New England Patriots take on the Denver Broncos for the right to go forward to the AFC Championship match next weekend. The Broncos beat the Pittsburgh Steelers last week to book their place here but bookmakers aren’t giving them much chance of progressing beyond this match as they come into the game the 11/2 outsiders with Boylesports.
New England Patriots were the best team in the AFC during the regular season and they will be looking to make it to the Championship match once again. If they are to do it they will rely a lot on their offense which will be led by Tom Brady because their defence has been awful throughout the season, particularly in the secondary. Brady will aim to hook up with his two top tight ends Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski throughout this match.
The Denver Broncos fairytale season continues after most people thought it would end last week when they faced the Steelers. Tim Tebow continues to amaze people and pull off the seemingly impossible in his debut season as a starter and if he can pull this one out of the bag then all the Broncos fans will be believing that they can achieve something really special this season. Tebow’s blossoming link up with Demaryius Thomas could be the key for the Broncos here.
Once again if the adage about defence winning championships is true then Denver will fancy their chances in this match with their defence led by the impressive rookie Von Miller. These two met in the regular season and New England won 41-23 but the match was a lot tighter than the scoreline ended up and I feel this could be a lot closer than people expect too. This Patriots defence could be burned at any time even by Tebow and whether the Broncos win or lose here I think they’ll stay within 14pts.
