BMW International Open Betting: Danny Willett 13/5 favourite as he takes a one shot lead into the final round
Englishman Danny Willett will take a one stroke lead into the final round of the BMW International Open out in Cologne as he looks to seal his first win on the European Tour. Willett has been talked about as a talented golfer for some time and if he can complete the tournament win on Sunday it will be a major breakthrough in his career. Willett is now 13/5 with Coral to win the tournament.
Willett leads by one shot on twelve under from two men. They are the overnight leader Joel Sjoholm and fellow Englishman Chris Wood. Wood is the second favourite for the tournament now at 4/1 with Stan James while Sjoholm, who like Willett is looking for a first European Tour title, can be backed at 15/2 with the same firm to win his maiden title.
Sitting two shots off the lead on ten under par is Australian Marcus Fraser and the South African golfer Keith Horne. Fraser has had two rounds in the mid 60’s this week and it would be folly to rule him out on Sunday with those above him lacking experience in getting the job done. He can be backed at 10/1 with Ladbrokes who are also a best price on the South African Horne too. He is a 16/1 shot with the magic sign.
Three men sit on nine under, three off the lead, and they include the home hope Marcel Siem. Alongside him are Richard Sterne and Fabrizio Zanotti. All three men will feel they are in with a chance going into Sunday with Siem a 12/1 shot with Skybet to win now. Zanotti is 22/1 to win the tournament with the same firm while Richard Sterne can be backed at 12/1 too but with Blue Square rather than at Skybet.
