ATP Stuttgart Betting: Tommy Haas to do well in home conditions
My last outright punt for this week comes from the clay-court tournament in Stuttgart. Tennis fans should be in for a treat over in Germany, as the line-up includes guys like Janko Tipsarevic and Juan Monaco. However, one always has to look for the German players in these events and I do indeed believe that Tommy Haas, who can be backed at 8.00 with Stan James, can go quite far this week.
The German, who has been out of action for quite some time, has bounced back in an impressive fashion and you simply cannot ignore his chances these days. He has been playing outstanding tennis recently, winning the event in Halle and taking Philipp Kohlschreiber into a tough battle over in Wimbledon. His playing style can work on all surfaces and it seems that he is fully capable of beating the top guys these days (remember, he has already beaten guys like Tomas Berdych or Roger Federer this year), so there are no reasons for ignoring his chances this week.
Most importantly, his draw looks quite acceptable in all honesty. Juan Monaco stands out as the only serious threat in his half of the draw and one can easily question the Argentinian's chances this week. He is a great competitor on clay, but I can see him going down against someone like Haas in these smaller events. He would be a decent favourite in the match-up, but that is a risk that I am willing to take and the price that we can get for the German does compensate for it in my opinion. Smaller stakes are naturally recommended here, as is the case with all these risky outrights.
Back Tommy Haas to win ATP Stuttgart for a 1/10 stake at 8.00 with Stan James
